OUR FLEET
Phillips Cruises and Tours, LLC owns and operates three premium catamarans in Prince William Sound. Due to their dual hull design, these powerful high-speed catamarans are extremely stable and able to smoothly navigate through the narrow fjords and passages on their way to the face of massive glaciers. M/V KLONDIKE EXPRESS
The Klondike Express is the largest, fastest and most luxurious catamaran in Alaska, averaging 34 knots while underway. This 137-foot, high-speed catamaran holds 332 passengers on three decks, two of which are enclosed and heated with an inside seat at a table for every passenger on board. Monitors display the route map on both passenger decks making it easy for guests to follow along as we explore Prince William Sound. The M/V Klondike Express is used on the 26 Glacier Cruise and for private charter service.
MAIN DECK:
The main deck has large panoramic windows to provide ample viewing opportunities for guests to take in the view while seated inside the heated cabin. All tables have USB charging stations. Outside, there are several spacious viewing areas. Due to our ability to cruise quickly, the bow doors are generally opened only when the vessel has reduced speed or is stopped for viewing glaciers or wildlife. The aft deck is accessible at any time. The bar, galley, and gift shop are located on the main deck. Four of the seven restrooms on board are located on the main deck. Handicap accessible bathroom includes changing station.
SECOND DECK:
Ample seating is strategically arranged to allow all guests a terrific view. The second deck aft is partially sheltered from the wind while we are underway. Three restrooms are located on the second deck. All tables have USB charging stations.
THIRD DECK
Designed with spacious outside viewing in mind, the observation deck on the third deck of the Klondike Express may be accessed by stairs from the second deck. The wheelhouse has large windows that make it possible for guests to observe the Captain navigating towards the tidewater glaciers.
ADA ACCESSIBILITY
The 26 Glacier Cruise utilizes the M/V Klondike Express which can easily accommodate most guests who require the use of a wheelchair during the cruise. There are a limited number of tables with ADA access so please contact us to discuss your special physical requirements in advance of your cruise.

M/V BRAVEST
The Bravest joined the Phillips Cruises fleet in May 2019. Averaging 32 knots while underway, this 127-foot, high-speed catamaran holds 286 passengers on two decks, which are enclosed and heated with an inside seat at a table for every passenger on board. Monitors display the route map on both passenger decks making it easy for guests to follow along as we explore Prince William Sound. All tables have USB charging ports available. The M/V Bravest will be operating the 26 Glacier Cruise and is available for private charter service.

The wheelhouse, located on the second deck is divided from the guest seating area by a glass partition which allows guests to observe the Captain as he guides the Bravest through the narrow fjords to the face of the tidewater glaciers. Four restrooms can be found on the second deck.

M/V GLACIER QUEST
The M/V Glacier Quest is a high-speed catamaran that provides a smooth cruise experience. The main deck and second deck feature a reserved seat at a table for every passenger. Large picture windows provide a terrific view from every seat and spacious outdoor areas are located on each deck for more viewing opportunities. Coast Guard rated to carry 149 passengers, the M/V Glacier Quest is 78′ long and cruises at 19 knots on average. Monitors on both decks display our location along the cruise route as we travel into the serenity of Blackstone Bay. The M/V Glacier Quest is used for our Glacier Quest Cruise and evening charter service.
MAIN DECK:
Seating on the main deck offers upholstered booths with tables facing forward and aft near the windows and can accommodate up to 113 guests. In the center of the boat, the seating configuration faces port and starboard with upholstered captains chair style seating and tables. For outside viewing, step out onto the main deck bow. The galley and three restrooms are located on the main deck. Handicap accessible bathroom includes changing station.
SECOND DECK:
The second deck offers upholstered booths with tables. With only 36 seats on the second deck, this area works great for small groups. Due to the location of the wheelhouse, the view on the second deck is out the side and back windows, along with quick access to the second deck viewing areas.
THIRD DECK:
Step up to the third deck and enjoy a large open-air observation deck with exterior bench seating. This deck offers 360’ of spectacular views that allow guests to take in the beauty of the towering mountains and pristine wilderness surrounding us during the cruise.
ADA ACCESSIBILITY

M/V CHUGACH EXPRESS
The M/V Chugach Express is a high-speed and long-range eco-tour catamaran which arrived in Whittier, Alaska, and began operating in the summer of 2024. Built specifically for Phillips Cruises & Tours by All American Marine in Bellingham, Washington, the M/V Chugach Express was designed with our guests in mind. Featuring top-of-the-line amenities, the M/V Chugach Express prioritizes customer comfort and satisfaction throughout their journey exploring Prince William Sound. Coast Guard rated to carry 150 passengers, the M/V Chugach Express boasts an 84.5′ x 30.7′ aluminum catamaran hull and can maintain an estimated fully laden cruise speed of 32 knots. The hull and hull components are designed to break up wave action and ensure reduced drag while enhancing passenger comfort. The M/V Chugach Express is utilized for our cross-sound transfers as well our 26 Glacier Cruise and private charters.
MAIN DECK:
Interior amenities include high-quality Beurteaux seats and electrical outlets with USB plugs at every table. Passengers can enjoy food and refreshments from a full galley and bar. The main deck cabin can accommodate up to 96 seated guests. For outside viewing, step out onto the main deck bow or stern. The three restrooms are located on the main deck. Handicap accessible bathroom includes changing station.
SECOND DECK:
The second deck also offers high-quality Beurteaux seats and electrical outlets with USB plugs at every table. The second deck can accommodate 54 seated guests, includes additional exterior seating, as well as standing room for nature viewing. Outdoor viewing options are on the port and starboard sides as well as the stern.
