ALWAYS AND FOREVER

SET SAIL ON YOUR LOVE STORY

*Weddings are easier with an Event Planner: Planning a destination wedding might feel overwhelming so we suggest contacting a professional wedding planner to handle the details so you can relax and enjoy your special day. The professional event planner will use their expert knowledge of the wedding industry and their list of reliable suppliers to organize the details to plan your wedding. They will act as a liaison between the bride and groom and the various vendors to keep everything on track and put all the puzzle pieces into place so you can focus on your future life together.

*Weddings are Memory Makers: Choosing a professional photographer with a versatile and friendly, unobtrusive style who can reflect the special and intimate moments of your day while capturing the candid emotions exchanged as you embark on your new chapter in life will create memories you can share for a lifetime.

Weddings are a Colorful Bouquet: Want to add some color to the day? Choose hearty flowers in an array of bright colors that will thrive best in the changing environment our glaciers cruises provide. From your Bridal bouquet and matching Groom boutonniere to centerpieces on the tables, we can help guide you to choose what works best for a glacier cruise.

*Weddings are a Piece of Cake: The key to success here is to keep it simple and elegant. Even though the water in Prince William Sound is very calm and our catamarans are very stable, we find that a single-tiered professionally decorated wedding cake for the bride and groom accompanied by gourmet cupcakes with a choice of flavors, a macaron tower, or mason jars with crème Brulee or bread pudding provide an option that is easy to transport and able to be served quickly to your guests.

Weddings are Fun to Attend: Don’t worry about the drive when you can enjoy the journey to and from your destination with the ones you love! Start your day off right by organizing transportation from Anchorage or Girdwood to Whittier for the bridal party, your immediate family, and/or the whole wedding reception.

*Weddings bring out-of-town visitors: Help your guests experience more of Alaska during their visit by adding more travel options for them to enjoy in addition to your special day. Alaskan activities they might enjoy include sightseeing, wildlife viewing, glacier cruising, ziplining, hiking, culture, and much more.

MARRIAGE REQUIREMENTS

Planning to get married on board? Review the State of Alaska Marriage Licenses webpage to confirm you have the following in order:

  1. Marriage License Application: There is a three (3) business day waiting period that begins once a mailed or faxed application is received by the issuing office. This means that you must wait at least three full business days after the application is submitted before you can pick up the license and the marriage ceremony can be performed.
  2. Marriage officiant: We are often asked if the Captain can perform the ceremony. Unfortunately, we are not able to have our Captain or crew officiate due to the duties required by the Coast Guard for your safety on board.
  3. Witnesses: 2 required by Alaska law: Marriage by Proxy (where someone stands in for the other party) are not permitted in Alaska. The two parties must be present before the two witnesses and the officiant in order for the ceremony to be performed.
  4. Filing of signed marriage license paperwork: The license is valid for three (3) months from the date of issuance. The marriage must be performed before the three-month expiration of the license or the license will no longer be valid. Refunds and extensions cannot be granted.
